ON SHATTERING VESSELS
A collaborative cocooning study informed by Zadie Xa’s hybrid folkloric constructions. Our research developed chrysalis-like forms through galvanized-steel spirals and airy, wired armatures. The organdy skirt -- prototyped and sewn in collaboration with Central Saint Martins BA Jewelry -- creates a sort of “suspended architecture,” buoyant and emerging.
